Anatomy of Mediocrity

How can our modern progress be praised with so many forms of mediocrity on the rise? The answer will hinge on identifying the paradoxical nature of our societal evolution. Indeed, such evolution has an cosmetically curated version to disguise its longterm adversity. Meaning, the exploding power of corporate entities are not only projecting a pretence culture but steadily manipulating public consciousness and perception. An increasing percentage of people is succumbing to mass-psychosis. And this dreaded disease does not discriminate. It inflicts members of the ruling class and those from the 99%. Indeed, even the 1% will perpetuate their own psychological travesty by way of becoming highjacked by their individual ego despite the intoxicating experience of various power, control and collectively relished narcissistic existence. This will further prevent them from becoming authentic, live with integrity and experience true human interactions through empathy, compassion and love. The alternative state of “Ignorance is Bliss’ will replace the self-empowering journey of “Follow your Bliss.” Sadly, this also applies to those in transition to become part of that 1% from the 99%. Early symptoms may be reflected by small-minded management, candidates of yes-man culture, eager virtue signallers, members of mob-mentalities increasingly empowered by online platforms, chatrooms, and right-wing extremism, etc. So how could such multifaceted negative societal momentum be transmuted into a positive one? This book aims to make a few simple suggestions that were inspired by the evolution of the natural world with the absence of any ego.
