This novel is about the tragic separation of two teenage brothers; Joseph and Peter. It had happened after a freak accident and the subsequent punishment of the government. It was in communist Hungary during the 1970s, which under the oppression, was like being 50 years behind the civilized the world. Life was a struggle for most people but for anyone refusing to submit, even more so. Paranoia and dystopia prevailed. The brothers never had a chance to reunite. They lost contact. While Peter eventually escaped to the West, Joseph stayed behind. He went underground to also escape the ongoing harassment of the system. Years became decades and even the distance grew between them because Peter moved from New York to San Fransisco. There, he got married and built a good life, but still could not find peace. He missed his brother. He wanted to find him, but did not know how. One day, fate interfered. He suffered a heart attack and barely survived. At that moment, he realized what he had to do to heal his heart. This is his story; a journey of tears from sorrow to joy.
